It was 2021, in the sleepy little big city of Taipei, Taiwan, when multi-instrumentalist Mike Quinn founded Softly Spoken Atrocities. 

It had always been his dream to form a  band that combines all the best elements of rock (heavy metal, prog, pop, indie, classic rock, etc.) into a singular, genre bending project. Faced with opinionated and strong willed band mates, Mike decided to go it alone and started writing the album "Pointless Rhymes". While hardly groundbreaking or genre defiant, Pointless Rhymes is a beautiful reflection of who Mike was in 2021, and managed to garner a bit of success with the song "Don't You Give Up On Me".

Now located in Portland, Oregon, USA, Softly Spoken Atrocities has expanded to include Mike's bandmates/alter-egos (introduction video coming soon). After a year of hard work in Mike's recording studio, The Goblin Den, SSA's newest album, The Little Things, is finally complete (now available for sale/streaming on all major platforms).

Shifting away form the primarily "in the box" production of Pointless Rhymes, SSA has embraced real instruments and analog equipment to ensure that The Little Things feels raw and authentic.
